Any recommendations for pollo ala brasa places in the general range of Route 50-Columbia Pike out to Annandale? Someplace to eat in, and even a little atmosphere appreciated. Heading out with some friends in a couple of weeks and realized none of us have a go-to for Peruvian style chicken in NoVa. Thanks!

Yes, the Super Pollo on Wilson Blvd. across the street from Pupatella. The scent of the chickens from a block away will lure you in every time (unless you're Pupatella-bound).

Don't expect much in terms of atmosphere.

My favorite is still the Crisp & Juicy in Lee Heights Shopping Center (the same shopping center as Arrowine), but there is almost a *negative* ambience here.

There are also several places on Route 7 in Bailey's Crossroads. I don't like The Chicken Place, but Edy's Chicken and Steak (across the street) is better, and that may be your best bet in terms of atmosphere. It's not far at all from Columbia Pike.

The force of Super Pollo is strong. I've been sucked in by its gravitational pull on my way to Pupatella but one look at its beverage cooler (no booze) had me scrambling to cross the street.
