crazeegirl Posted April 19, 2006 Posted April 19, 2006 I have been and will be working past midnight pretty much all the time and have to get dinner delivered to Metro Center. Any recommendations? Thanks in advance.
MBK Posted April 19, 2006 Posted April 19, 2006 Try Meiwah for average Chinese. They used to deliver to that area, a number of years ago. Or you could probably do takeout from any number of places in Chinatown/MCI Center area -- I don't know if you can spare the 20 minutes to walk and pick stuff up, but it might be a nice break in your long day. (At least, that's how I always saw it when I was working those kind of hours!)
crackers Posted April 19, 2006 Posted April 19, 2006 Takeout Taxi (aka Finefood2U) delivers from many area restaurants until 10pm or 11pm. Their fee depends on which zone the delivery is coming from and going to. Here is a list of restaurants they deliver from. I've often used the list and the menus, and just ordered directly from the restaurant - either picked it up or some of them have their own delivery.
lackadaisi Posted April 19, 2006 Posted April 19, 2006 I frequently have the same problem, and Rice is the only real option that I have found. I got sick of Meiwah several years ago. Often I find it better to pick up from restaurants around there. Why don't more restaurants in this area deliver?
rbh Posted April 21, 2006 Posted April 21, 2006 Kanlaya's take-out menu says they do delivery... good Thai food over on 6th St. click
crazeegirl Posted April 21, 2006 Author Posted April 21, 2006 Thanks for the recommendations! Heritage India delivers to Metro Center...although the minimum is $25 and takes forever to deliver!!
DonRocks Posted April 21, 2006 Posted April 21, 2006 I had a buddy who used to work late at the Capitol, and would get delivery from Kaz - maybe from Takeout Taxi? Regardless, he always enjoyed it.

I know Kaz goes through a la cart. What I have had has always been excellent. But, I find a la cart to be annoying.
