CrescentFresh
Saturday. Ordered their bratwurst for lunch. Holy Toledo! This brown, desiccated, chewy cylinder chopped into four hunks came out on what I can only believe was a bad supermarket "hoagie" roll. Not even any mustard. Disgusting. You know that story about John Dillinger's penis being in the Smithsonian? It's not. I think I know where it is.
DonRocks
You know that story about John Dillinger's penis being in the Smithsonian? It's not. I think I know where it is. I always thought that was John Dilliinger's subpoenas. I swear I just made that up on-the-spot.

JimRice
We drove by Founder's last night, and it was dark. I tried their number today, and there was no answer. Their webpage hasn't changed or added any information. I went to Founder's two or three times in the past year. I always wanted to like the place, but the food was inconsistent, sometimes OK, sometimes not. The beer was OK as well, and my wife liked their weiss beer. In the window was a permit for La Tasca. Apparently they're expanding into Old Town.

CrescentFresh
Sources tell me the owners are opening a bistro somewhere in Old Town and that Founders is having a "Kill The Kegs Party" this Saturday night from 5pm-9pm. $15 for all the beer you can drink. Also, pictures, glasses, etc will also be on sale.
Jacques Gastreaux
Founder's is the second brewpub located in the old Henry Africa's space. After Heny Africa's closed down, the place was vacant for a long time and then Virgina Brewing Company opened up. I missed the change of name/ownership to Founder's. Henry Africa's was one popular spot though.

Free Wilma
That's what I understand... Too bad. I called about a week ago for a reservation and they were closed that night for a private party. I wonder if that was a precursor to their demise?
