B.A.R.
I have some out-of-town clients looking for a place to watch college football Saturday night. Some place with: 1) A neighborhhod bar feel 2) Lots of TVs 3) a place with some soul and character 4) In washington DC proper, a cab ride from 14th and K No ESPN zones, RFD's, Hard Rock's, etc. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated! goodeats
If those on the list don't work out, I think The Laughing Man on G St between 13th and 14th may fit the bill. Here's an old DCist review.
TedE
On U St we like MoMo's and Nellie's. Go to neither for the food, though.

B.A.R.
Thanks! I'm sending them to Nellie's.
xcanuck
Thanks! I'm sending them to Nellie's. I'm a big fan of Nellie's. If you want something close to downtown, we often go to Penn Quarter Tavern to watch U of M games there. Food's way better than Nellies, too.
