  3. what is M'Haute Dog? and where will it be?
  4. Anyone know where u can get a chicago style hot dog in the dc area? With respect to Ben's Chilli Bowl, i like my hot dogs Chicago style. --- The following posts have been split into separate threads: Haute Dogs and Fries (goldenticket)
  5. I've been to Zaytinya 3 times, each time it's gotten worse. It's sad because after the first time I really loved it. The second time was very good, but the most recent time was pretty disappointing. The meat came out overcooked. Maybe it was just a bad day. Some of my favorites: Positives: the bread - it comes out hot and it is delicious. they make sure there is always fresh bread on ur table. plus it's free! hummus - i love their hummus, especially w/ their delicious bread lamb kebab - ive gotten it 3 times. 1 time it was amazing, the 2nd time it was good, the last time it wasn't very good spiced sirloin - my favorite dish there so far scallops - two giant succulant scallops koftededs - lamb and beef meat ball type things. really tasty i can't remember the names of most of the other dishes negatives: there are some dishes i've gotten that i haven't been crazy about the service there isn't the best the quality of food has been up and down for me, but when it's good, it's really good
  6. I just got back from my first trip to Las Vegas. While I was there I got a chance to go to Sensi at the Bellagio. What a wonderful experience! The decor is beautiful, the service was great, and the food was delicious. As soon as you got up from your chair, the waiters replaced your napkin with a new one (that will always get me bonus points) The waiters were almost too nice. Anyways, the food. I had a kobe beef appetizer. It was great. For my entree i had the Braised Veal. Wow, that veal was so good. Very tender and tasty. I also go the tempura asparagus. The sauce that comes with that is addicting. For dessert I had a chocolate cake. Compared to the first two cources, it was just ok. I will definitely be going back next time in Vegas
  7. Jaimaica House near VCU's campus is pretty good for cheap Jaimaican food. I like it better than The Jerk Pit, which is farther west on Broad St.
  8. i'm just a poor college student but i really like trying new restaurants in dc. i've only recently started going to nicer restaurants in dc. i really like the places in penn quarter. i've been to oya, zengo, zaytinya, ceiba, ps7s and zola. out of all those zaytinya is probably my favorite foodwise. i liked oya for it's decor. the only one i didn't like was zola. i thought the food was actually pretty bad when i went. i've also tried matchbox in the same area. their mini burgers are really good
  9. I'm not sure if this is the right place to introduce myself, but i didn't see anywhere specifically for that. Anyways, this site looks like a great place to get info on dc restaurants. My question is, is there a part of the site that i can look for specific cuisines? I only see topics about individual restaurants. is there like a japanese, indian, mediterranean topic? or is there like a cheap eat part? i'm looking for good cheap burritos and jamaican restaurants.
