Tom Sietsema reporting that Jackie's will be closing in March of this year.

Anyone know if this includes their Sidebar as well? Assuming so.

Sad. She's right that Jackie's wasn't doing anything terribly unique anymore (although it's not like Silver Spring is overflowing with "homey", modern American places), but it was still reliable, and Sidebar WAS unique to the scene - not sure where else one can get craft cocktails and that environment in Silver Spring.

Welp, looks like Silver Spring is getting another Ethiopian restaurant in the Jackie's space (noticed the signage tonight).
