Don, I am sure you will go about an interface change more thoughtfully than Digg and Chowhound did. No worries here!

I am on discussion boards that never change and they do look dated, believe me.

Well, I'm the first to admit our interface leaves much to be desired, but I'm an army of one, and I feel very protective of our members in terms of making changes.

IT needs to be easy to use and useful. Ideally it needs to be easy to manage as well.

Honestly, migrating from here to a new format will be something of a nightmare, but may end up being significantly worth it in the long run.

Agreed on all counts - I won't be doing this on my own dime, don't worry. One day in the future, I look forward to an investor reviewing the website and asking, "Who are your other 19 employees?"

Does anyone still visit Chowhound?  I hope they fired the person who killed off Chowhound.

I go on maybe once every couple months.  Mainly to see what Steve is up to, and what little small haunts he has tried out.  It still accepts my really old log on credentials.  I find all the new formats just more and more off-putting.  It was such an amazing site back in the day.
