Apparently New Yorkers go nuts for these hockey puck sized cookies.  It's a good cookie, I would even call the oatmeal raisin a very good cookie.  Would I line up for one?  Probably not.  I guess you can consider Levain to be the Georgetown Cupcake of New York City cookie stores.

I stop there on trips to NYC. Those are really good cookies (I prefer the chocolate chip walnut). I've never waited more than a minute or 2 to get in though. I recommend it! What isn't to like about a warm, gooey, giant cookie.

Martin already know this, but for the bold driver, there's a third location in Wainscott, which is *way* the heck out Long Island near the end - this would go in a separate thread, obviously. As the bird flies, it's closer to Providence, RI than to NYC.

And it appears a seasonal operation. ie: when the New Yorkers are summering out on the Island

They also deliver nationwide. Very expensive, but I've ordered them as gifts. Chocolate chocolate chunk and chocolate peanut butter are mind-blowing.
