wineitup
Hi all, Looking for suggestions for a place to take probably about 15 or so people for dinner after a day of meetings. Would preferably like private room. Looking for a place in DC, Arlington or Alexandria. I know Zola and Capital Grille do things like these, any other places? -Thanks. Meaghan
Caucus Room? Johnny's has a room, too.
bilrus
A lot of places have this type of room. Any restrictions on type of food or cost?
DaveBVI
Corduroy's not private, but they do groups in the back of the rest all the time. Full disclosure, I used to work there, and still think it is some of the best food in the city. Dave
brettashley01
Bobby Van's on 15th. May not have the best food, but very attentive servers, and the managers have been extremely accomodating with our parties in the past. They do have a private room next to the bar area, which works well for any overflow.
jpschust
I'm using Dino's private room in June for 16 or so people
TinDC
On the less expensive side, Matchbox now has a private room. I inquired about it recently and dinner and drinks were very reasonable. Zaytinya also has private areas but their menus are pricier than Matchbox.

I posted this in another forum somewhere but if price isn't an issue, Charlie Palmer's is great for a group. At my old job we had dinner there once for about 15-16 I think and everything was perfect. The room was enclosed by glass but I believe it had curtains or something you could draw if you wanted some privacy. It's been awhile so the details are a bit hazy. Jacques Gastreaux
Sam & Harry's has a variety of private rooms that could accomodate you. And, I think Central has a private room, but I don't know how many it can accomodate.

Roberto Donna's new place in Crystal City has a private dining area. I forgot the name of the place - its the same space where Oyamel used to be. Worked real well for DR dinner. Lots of parking underground. Very accessible.

I'm convinced unless this place gets its act together it's doomed.
