  1. just wanted to say a quick thank you to all who attended the happy hour.
  2. I am sure that we could be persuaded to put out a few bacon bites. I know Don said not to RSVP, but it would be nice to know who's coming, just so we can make sure we have enough prep done. Thanks in advance. See you on Tuesday
  3. If you need more than one turkey fryer or propane, and/or some different pots, I would be more than willing to offer them up.

  5. Went to soft opening on Thursday Night, Burgers were good, think 5 guys without all the grease. The shake (toasted marshmallow) was sweet and very rich. Had 2 different wedges, greek with diced cucumbers and onions and a basic wedge with gorgonzolla, bacon and fried onion straws. Both were solid. Enjoyed my meal, and would go back. The friends I was with live on the hill and are very excited about having a late night place to eat.
  6. i'll have a go. I know nothing about the restaurant, but i believe Mr. rockwells' sub heading is based on Roger Miller, singer songwriter, who is more well known for the song " king of the road". "do wacka do" is another of his hits. Although the restaurant is probably named for roger miller the camaroonian distance runner.
  7. went for dinner and game 5 of the stanley cup on monday night, had mussels, pastrami sandwich and the kielbasa. got to see the kitchen and sample a couple slices of a fantastic proscuitto. The sausage was great, but the pastrami was amazing, moist, juicy and a hint of smoke. Just thinking about it now makes me want to go back. The bar area was full, there are a ton of tvs including a screen that faces out into the parking lot, so that the smokers won't have to miss a play. Can't wait to try the wings which are available grilled or fried
  8. Bringing your child into 3 is not an issue, afterall it is a neighborhood restaurant. the woman who wrote that has kids as well and I think she comes to our restaurant as a get away. It has come to my attention that the "3" of creme fraiche on the soup eliminates the non dairy comment, i would love to tell you that it was made with some type of soy or synthetic ingredients, but no. I completely forgot about the garnish. It reminds me of the woman who when told the grit cakes had dairy (she was "vegan") said " I don't want to know whats in them, I just like the way they taste."
  9. I am glad you enjoyed your experience at 3. In fact there was no meat and or dairy in either dish. I agree with your point on restaurants differentiating them selves, but i think it is important to be different because of who you are, not just to be different for differences sake. All in all its a very fine line to walk
