Dining in Del Ray

Recommended Posts

Oh man, that is a bummer! Between losing our go-to curry carryout and a new favorite spot for a (nearly) weekly outing with friends (Thursday is half-price wine night at Pizzaiolo), this is sad news.

In the grand scheme of things, the new development is probably a positive for the area, but on an individual level, not so much. I do hope all of the businesses are able to find nearby places to relocate.

This is terrible. I'm going to miss Del Merei Grille and Bombay Curry Company.

+1. Sigh, knew this was going to happen, unfortunately, it is occurring much sooner than many of us in the neighborhood want it to.

Just to add thanks to Don for highlighting this since we might have missed it with being out of town. Anyway, we walked over and had dinner here last night and as usual, it hit the spot. (Will place a brief write up in the thread for the restaurant). Mary and Eric, thanks for pouring yourselves into the restaurant and the community and we will see you weekly and on the night of the Final "last call".

Congratulations on the win for Del Merei Grille - very tasty shrimp and grits!

There were lots of other great bites served - a feast of flavors from all of the participants and a lovely evening to end this year's First Thursdays.
