porcupine
We're sort of planning on what you are suggesting - pointing the car that direction and driving. In that case, if you're going to be near Linden, stop at the Apple House and get an order of apple butter donuts. When they're hot and fresh, they're the best donuts ever. Bob Wells
In that case, if you're going to be near Linden, stop at the Apple House and get an order of apple butter donuts. When they're hot and fresh, they're the best donuts ever. Not only are those great donuts, but when you're waiting in line -- and the line can be long and slow -- you can stuff unlimited samples of the donuts in your face. I repeat: unlimited samples of donuts.
ulrath
The Apple House is not really in Loudoun. With that said, it is awesome. I've been going there for 20 years. I was just there on Saturday and me and my three year old destroyed a half dozen of the apple ones. In other news, from time to time they will have a notehr flavor like pumpkin or blueberry. One other thing. Their food there is solid as well. We've had breakfast there a few times. The sausage is always tasty and I recall the pancakes being good. DonRocks
Note there is The Apple House in Linden (open 50 years) and Front Royal, and The Little Apple in Aldie (open 25 years) who has one of the best website names around. The Apple House in Linden also gets on the list of Oldest Restaurants in the Washington, DC Area.

We had some very respectable barbecue sandwiches at the Apple House.
