Waitman
How about a high quality burger in the A-M/Columbia Heights/Mt. Pleasant metro area? A million places to get something passable, but I can't think of any that would make a top 10 (or 20) list.

(But if you go, you have to let us all know what Comeback Sauce is.) At In-n-Out you can get it animal style; at Cashion's, doggie style. Oh God. I didn't just type that. Oh God. Mod, please delete. DonRocks
Oh God. Back again, huh? I've never really understood your humor, Dark Wing, but I've never doubted your knowledge, and your suggestion of Cashion's seems pretty sound. BTW, as a gentle punishment for what appears to be an attempt at crude humor on a family website: that Footlifter March you linked to (which some bands play fast enough to be considered a full-blown Screamer) was originally written as an homage to the conductor's sponsor who owned an insurance company. Their motto, "A Penny A Day," can be heard repeatedly throughout as the motif of the march, starting with the first five notes. Listen and see for yourself. And now ... try to get the tune out of your head.

According to Wikipedia, it's the triple tongueing that is essential for a real screamer... all the brass players out there will know what that is--everyone else will instantly go to the salacious interpretation. sheldman
Cashion's Bison Burger? (But if you go, you have to let us all know what Comeback Sauce is.). At the risk of demonstrating that I am not getting some risque joke - comeback sauce is a Mississippi thing, basically a mixture of mayo and chili sauce and whatnot. darkstar965
Not sure how this thread made it to the 10th post with noone suggesting Cedric Maupellier's new Mintwood Place. I know you'd (Waitman) wondered rhetorically which Cedric would be showing up but, suffice to say, the burger there (which in full disclosure I have not tried) is probably a very safe and newer bet. Pat
Cashion's Bison Burger? (But if you go, you have to let us all know what Comeback Sauce is.) Comeback Sauce is something like a 1000 island dressing /marie rose sauce. I believe the term originated at a particular Southern restaurant, the name of which I would post if I remembered it. (As in "ya'll come back now, ya hear?")
qwertyy
At the risk of being a shill for my local, the Reef has a very respectable burger. I haven't had enough in the neighborhood to rank it against, say, Jack Rose, the Black Squirrel, or Smoke and Barrel, but it's a solid burger. Yeah - when my brother was at Ole Miss, the go-to drunk food was chicken on a stick with comeback sauce.
