  1. this seems pretty interesting. Unfortunately, I will be preparing for lunch service at that time. Will you be filming or recording?
  2. I'm thinking that Wendy's new saltier fries are better than they have ever been. Still not as good as McD's fries. I don't know if they are still offering, but a week ago or so, I bought a "frosty-keychain card". It's a little frosty shaped piece of plastic you can show them all year long for a free (tiny) frosty with any other purchase. I'm considering the free frosty with the purchase of a small frosty will be my most common method as summer rolls around. Hey, I've got 2 kids! oh yeah, it only cost a buck. p.s. the chili is strangely enticing to me..I think it's the little packages of "hot sauce" that they never put in the bag, and you have to request...
  3. Dan, yer making some fine looking pizze these days..Keep it up! I've always thought the only way to make a pizza at home, is in a wood burning oven. Few are so lucky.
  4. It's very difficult to make Salumi in house in the Commonwealth of Virginia. I am not, (not because I don't want to). According to my health inspector, in Fairfax county, it's never been done. (the fairfax county health code is much stricter than the DC, can't speak on Maryland)\
  5. I suggest Peter Taylor's pizzeria-Wood Fired Pizzeria and Wine Bar..very casual, good pizza, and Peter is pretty cool. + his oven was designed by a NASA guy or something. Anyway, good pizza.
  6. Please disregard Arcturus's comments. He certainly should not, and is not speaking for the Management or the staff at Pizzeria Orso.
  7. Do most of my camping on MDI. So, it's red hot dogs, (you know you love 'em) Boiled Lobsters, (alas no more, a case of Paralytic shellfish poisoning last summer seems to have left me with a severe allergy), clams, foiled potatoes and corn, S'mores, small fish on sticks, and beer, (lots of it, helps to dull the itching of the mosquito bites). And blueberry soda, and something with my dad's bbq sauce on it, (doesn't really matter what, just don't ask what's in the sauce)
  8. I know which one won't..it's cute though
  9. I have a Staffordshire Bull Terrier that I bought from a breeder. They recommended Eagle Pack dog food, and it's what we've been feeding her since she was 10 weeks old. Hard poops and healthy skin recommended, (but it's pricey).
  10. Thanks to everyone who came out. leleboo, sorry you missed it-when you can make it in, the pizza is on me
  11. I am against sliced pizze. I know a lot of people prefer them sliced, for ease of eating. I feel that slicing the pizze causes it to get cold faster, and doesn't allow for the crust to finish cooking. Slicing the pizze also lends to the dreaded, "soupiness". You wouldn't slice into a fresh loaf of bread hot from the oven, would you?
  12. I should add that the Fritture, grilled meat and cheese, and set antipasti are not regular orders, but "family style" plates that offer just a couple bites of each thing. Should still be plenty of food though...

  14. I miss the seedy, dirty, stinky, cramped space that was the original 9:30 club, and the alley behind it.
  15. Btw the one table idea will have to be one table + a few more.
  16. Yeah, we can stretch to fifty, but that is really all I can guarantee good times. Pizze will be staggered, I'm pretty good at cooking 5-7 at once, any more and you will have certainly been fed up with carbon. 50 is a good number, although 51 is probably luckier.
