Those Pizze look like Sh!t. Sorry. I admit to taking a half hour break today-it's been a very long week. Please allow me to make it up to you. Thanks.

The cute blonde is my wife, and Orso's Gm, and yes, I am lucky to have that one. The Pizze are served on the exact same plate as two amys and generally hang off the plate, and the quality of the ingredients is superior, trust me I know. Last night was no fun..

Ironically, Luzzo's is a coal fired pizzeria, and therefore NOT authentic Neapolitan. It's true. They do make great pizza though.

Actually the D.O.A. document states that the high heat in the oven should evaporate the extra water from the tomato, and reduce the sauce.. *edited for punch drunk typing errors. I need to get some sleep..

an authentic Neapolitan pizza should not be, "soggy" or "soupy". I guess many are, but I would not describe the best pizze in Naples this way. An authentic Neapolitan pizza should be "moist" and "soft". A good pizzaiolo knows the difference, and how to produce the proper consistency. My 2 cents. P.S. There are tricks, but I'm not sure they are exactly the same as described by DanCole42

Menu has horrible spelling..a "neapoletana" pizza, wine from "Fruli" , "putanesca" missing a T, etc...can't comment on the food, haven't been. *edit* "imported pepperoni" makes me snicker..

Last I had heard, Sardines come into the country, from Portugal, on Thursdays..I don't know if that is still the case, but I wouldn't order Sardines on a Wednesday night until I knew for sure.

yeah, that's fair. Do they display a certificate signed by Pepe Miele in the dining room or other visible spot inside the building? Or do they have a plastic AVPN sign in the front window, maybe just a sticker, displaying the same logo that is on the menu?

The use of the AVPN logo on this menu is suspect at best. Not on this web page. I should add that this "approval" is very easy to obtain. I cannot see what would prevent them from achieving their goal, if achieving "DOC" status is indeed their goal.

I hate this thread..

I read yelp, probably more than I should. Having a little insight into the restaurant business, it is funny to read the inaccuracies in the reviews.. It's schlock, but it makes people feel important, so I guess it provides a useful service.

is this really a move for the Codex Alimentarus folks (i.e. Monsanto) to move forward with their plans to control the worlds food supply? Call me paranoid.
