  1. We're capping it at 40 people, if there is still demand after that, we will do another.
  2. Oh, one more thing for now. Depending on how many people show up, we can probably seat you all at one table, if that sounds fun.
  3. So, after having read some comments, Here is the best course of action from my perspective.. Menu: Set Antipasti-to be determined the week prior to the event, served family style Papa Al Pomodoro-Virginia Tomatoes, house made sourdough Pizze-to be ordered after soup, (y'all can order however you see fit, and maybe we will throw in a simple pizza or 2) House made Cannoli, (1 shell each), Or could do doughnuts.. The Gelato is really good, but we get it from Dolcezza, so... That's out. Yer feedback will be appreciated.
  4. Yeah, so tentatively I was thinking any of the Antipasti that are $7 or less, any pizza that is under $18, (all of them except for 3), half an order of Cannoli, (one stuffed shell, stuffing of your choice) - Fer USA $20. I could include the specials of the day under the same conditions, or if there was demand/interest, Kevin and I could come up with some other stuff that may be a little more special, but would require everyone to have the same thing. What's important, really, is the pizza *edit* I forgot the soft drink. That comes with the $20, bottled soda and booze is extra.. ETA: Chef was thinking of providing some family-style antipasti to pass around and enjoy pre-dinner, to jazz the table up a bit.
  5. Next Tuesday could work, or the following..perhaps the next too..
  6. can be controlled, even manipulated, quite easily, with a little practice.
  7. Oh,one of my favorite youtube videos lol.
  8. Great, how am I going to find the time to go to Connecticut?
  9. Hopefully you can find both at Pizzeria Orso, eating over priced pizze.
  10. DOP Tomato caputo DOP could find cheaper, check freshness That's getting you started..
  11. Orso Pizze have another value, they have been engineered, (yeah, that's right) to be highly digestible. We actually have had complaints that the pizze aren't filling, or are too small, etc. .. However, the doughballs weigh between, 255 to 265 grams, over half a pound. The slight variances in size can be blamed on; 1. skill of person stretching the dough, and; 2. 10 grams swing in actual dough ball size. The toppings are the best that money can buy.
  12. I can't take my family of four out for Pho fo' less than, $40, at Pho 75 , and probably closer to $50 at Pho hot, (boba drinks for the kids, and eggrolls too.) I perceive this as a cheap family meal, even though I know the true cost to be much less. Value is where it is perceived. How much does a pizza at pie tanza cost? p.s. my kids are both >teenaged
  13. A New York Neapolitan pizza heavyweight will reopen in San Francisco come May. ... and as a sign in his original joint read, "We have no quarrel with the man who sells cheaper pizza. He knows how much his is worth!" -Classic
  14. I can also recommend Wood Fired in Tampa, and Il Pizzaiolo in Pittsburgh..
  15. Gotta plug the Opera House for coffee and internet access. My buddy Matt owns it as of this year.
  16. funny that the Suppli A Telefono (telephone lines) in that link don't have any cheese in them, as the cheese in the center is what stretches like a drooping telephone line (when broken in half by hand and pulled apart) , like the name suggests. Also, while Roman pizze can be very good, (al metro, or croccante) and certainly has it's fans, it is not Vera Pizza Napoletana.
  17. Thanks for the feedback, good, and bad. I think the ship is starting to float now.. So, we are starting our special menu, just on the black board for now, but coming soon in print. Tonight we have some nice Porcini-pizza and raw. Putting Happy Hour in the works too, probably next week. I'll try to keep you all posted. P.S. if yer one of the people we irked in the first week, please give us a chance to make it right. Thanks.
