  1. Passionfish is definitely a good choice for a business lunch in the Reston area. Are you looking for a particular kind of taste or experience other than that?
  2. Hi Sara, welcome to DR! Are you considering diners or hotels?
  3. In this case, it won't matter, but last summer the half price raw bar started at 11pm on Sunday nights.
  4. The last time we were there with some friends who had kids that didn't like anything. I think the kid's menu will expand and the appetizers will be more kids friendly.
  5. I think the average not food-obsessed diner will not care either. What I do think will happen is the 'less is more' restraint which is such an important quality will leave Pizzeria Orso because Edan is not there. When I tasted pies by others made there, the pizzas always more toppings, more sauce, etc...regardless, Pizzeria Orso will be fine as it becomes more kid friendly.
  6. The DB (database) which houses the forum is quite large. The company that makes this forum is called Invision. Invison and VBullentin are the two major online forum boards used by websites, like Don Rockwell.com, that have similar number of users and threads. They both are used on other websites, and online communities that are much larger. Apparently, the internet hosting company that Don uses to host the forum has a server crash from too many users (real people and web crawlers) trying to access the website at the same time or time interval. This may be a result of a cap that the internet hosting company places on the kind of account Don has for the forum since it's a shared server. It also could be a result of the doubling of web crawlers coming to DR.com, which are kind of automated 'users' that Google, Bing, and other search websites use to search the web. Hope that helps explain some of the basics in a simpler way.
  7. Zen Tara Tea is pretty good. They have some tea blends, such as one of my favorites, Tulsi Tea, that I haven't seen anywhere else in the DC area. Additionally, they have a room in the back for tea tastings and other events. I find it very pleasing because the atmosphere is easy going and relaxing which are very important to enjoying good teas.
  8. Since you added VA to the search, I'll throw a place which is a mix of Indo/Pak style cooking. Kabob Palace

    Soup in NOVA

Thanks for the suggestions. Will keep them in mind for the future!
  10. It's a little out of your target range, but a place to consider the Woman's Club of Bethesda.

    Soup in NOVA

Who makes a decent soup in NOVA?
  12. We went soon after it opened up. Sadly, we found the taste of the crust and sauce was not the same as the old location. Granted that was a one time visit, so maybe it's gotten back to the former style. At the moment, I think the Ledo's Tyson's Corner/Falls Church location has the best taste.
  13. We were there are the end of January and it was the same wait staff. Food was good and we tried some Chinese vegetable, which I can't remember the name of at the moment, that was recommended by the waitress. Hopefully, quality stays up. HKP is a go to place in that area of VA.
  14. I would be willing to help out depending upon the date and time.
  15. It's ok, I'm a pizza snob as well. I do have a certain fondness for Giordano's, but recognize the quality of the ingredients has dropped since the first time, I had it twenty years ago. Still, I think making stuffed pizza is more complex than people realize. Perhaps you can have a go at it?
