Colorado Kitchen - Vailed.
JLK replied to hillvalley's topic in Washington DC Restaurants and Dining
Always such controversy over CK!!! Chef, if you're still around, do you presently offer the chicken chow mein I enjoyed there earlier this spring? I dream of apple pandowdy. -
Rehoboth Eve Zibart's take on Espuma. It's one of the few restaurants in the beach town that I haven't yet visited. This is due to the fact that I'm usually in Rehoboth with my meat and potatoes eatin' parents.

mdt is being polite and leaving the story to be told by the participants of the detente. It should also be noted that I ate my first soft shell crab last night. Thanks to Jacques for his gentle encouragement.

Too rich for my blood. Individual tix are $200.

I have been for drinks, but not food. Was quite surprised to learn that the place even has food. It's decidedly clubby - not to mention super-snooty- in there, or at least it was when I went (maybe six months ago?).

I'll be at Old Ebbitt for a coworker's birthday starting around 6:30. If anyone else is there, definitely say hello.

A phone call will probably be much more effective.

Is that indicative of the number of entrees typically available a la carte?

You're definitely not alone. I'm surprised Coldstone got such a warm reception here. I much prefer Max's.

I actually was in spite of hearing about the cafe menu. Palena, to me, was a hoity-toity "foodie" restaurant. I really had no idea.

And pork quesadilla. And churros con chocolate.

Crummy food and yet Sorriso also looks crowded. I guess it's perfect for people who find Indian food "scary" or Palena "intimidating." More good eats for me!

I'm having dinner with a friend I haven't seen in a bit and she suggested - what else - Palena. She is craving the chicken. Anyone know if it's open tonight? I read (re: Sorriso) that it was closed last night w/o explanation.

I have nothing to add because I haven't been to Pazo, but I wanted to say happy birthday.

Looks like such a great event! Wow... Cincinnati was such a bore.

I wonder how mini these "baby" cheeseburgers are if you figure they are $7 each.

To add to that, Krinn uses the magic word: tapas. As in "Tapas on the Terrace". For once, the italics are mine, not the Post's.

Funny thing is, in yesterday's chat he recommended the place at least once.

I love that pizza - Prosciutto White, they call it. I keep the prosciutto, but often skip the olives to avoid salt overload. Come to think of it, my second favorite Matchbox pizza leaves me guzzling water too: Matchbox Meat. Hmm, a trend. Beer makes it better.

On my second-to-last visit, I was told that they have expanded the cafe menu on Monday nights to include some of the lunch menu's items.

I'm heading to Palena tonight (and I might take my mother on Saturday when she comes to town - probably for dinner, not lunch).
