  1. I would have a huge issue giving out this information to anyone besides a doctor. What is the company doing with this information? Where are they storing it. Stupid ideas like this are the reason even stupider HIPPA laws were created (the basic idea was good, but as usual implementation and interpretation are rediculous).
  2. DAMN - I must have deleted this email without reading. I get their emails every day and rarely see anything of interest, but this is a deal. Love Moorenko's ice cream
  3. Thank You to everyone, especially Dean and Dan. The food was incredible, even the kids ate great. Not a tofu fan (but that is just my taste buds), the oyster casserole was definitely my very pleasant surprise today.
  4. I am in too and will be with kids (+2). Honey Pig sounds really good, but any of the places mentioned are fine. Thanks.
  5. Anyone know if South Street Steaks is under new ownership or something. Had to walk out at lunch and got a cheesesteak. I suspected this was not going to be wonderful when I ordered and it was up before I even returned one quick email. I even said, "This can't be mine, I just ordered" - They said "It is Yours"/ The meat was dry and flavorless - apparently totaly precooked and just heated up for a minute and thrown on a roll. This is really a shame, they used to be very good.
  6. That is probably true - I know many times I just run in for a couple of things and don't even think about carrying in a bag. Most of us will probably just roll our eyes at the extra quarter or so.
  7. I think if you are going out to dinner celebrating a birthday you can ask for a candle to be added to a piece of cake that just gets brought out. What I do not think is that anyone has the right to expect a freebie EVER. I was out with a large group about a month ago and it was also my birthday weekend. Yes, it was very nice when someone from my group had the waitress bring out a surprise dessert (an Ice cream sundae) with sparklers in it. Even nicer when it was comped on the bill - NOT EXPECTED but always nice. We were at Grillfish in DC. The food was ok, not overly memorable or incredible. Not terrible either but I do recall some cold sides that had to be reheated - Prices were reasonable for downtown less than $100 couple plus alcohol. But I can say that the service was very good and bringing out a large goblet of ice cream with a couple sparklers coming from it when not expected was a memorable part of the night and put an ok restaurant into a nice light in my mind.
  8. I agree. Whether or not I have ever been to the Italian Garden or (insert any other chain of the month), I bet that I can figure out their menu and what to order without hearing the speech written by some corporate marketer.
  9. I like it. Think it looks Great Don
  10. My kids (10 & 7) think the bar at RTC is "very cool". When we go they don't want the dining room they always want to eat at the bar and it has always been great.
  11. Joe - If this were to happen now, I think we all know where you would have spent the night
  12. Jen looked pissed off for most of the episode, like she knew she was going home no matter what she cooked.
  13. This sounds like a great service, in DC there is sober ride. That is for you only not your car, you have to take a taxi in the morning to pick up your car. This is still much cheaper and easier than JAIL, fines, insurance surcharges and many other things that can follow you for the rest of your life. Please don't drink and drive. SOBER RIDE 1-800-200-TAXI #8294 from your ATT wireless phone http://www.wrap.org/soberride/
  14. I noticed Bethesda branch opened last week and they have a sign up two slices and a drink for $5. Haven't had a chance to stop by, but maybe one night this week.
  15. Not surprised Eli went home tonight. My guess is the Jennifer will go home next week unless Kevin really screws up. The producers want brothers in the finale.
  16. One Tuesday's you can get one of each (Buy one get one for 2.99 night). This has been my standing Tuesday night dinner since I have to do hebrew school pickup around the corner
  17. No kids this weekend, 11:30 is good for me.
  18. Through October 31st Kraft Foods will make a donation to Feeding America every time this clip is viewed. Because of the incredible outpouring of support, weve decided to set a new goal. We will DOUBLE our donation if we reach 100,000 views by October 31, 2009. That means well donate even more money for Feeding America to help the organization provide the equivalent of 100,000 additional meals to those at risk of hunger. Keep the volunteer spirit alive. Pass it along! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A_xrpvU_KJg&NR=1
  19. It sounds like just the magazine, they are keeping the online websitehttp://www.businessinsider.com/conde-closes-down-gourmet-magazine-2009-10
  20. I was really sick of having lean pocket for lunch so I went out and had a burger in Bethesda today for lunch and it really was spot on. I ordered it medium rare (It was perfectly medium when I opened it at my desk) the fries could have been a little more crispy but in fairness since I took it to go it steamed in the bag. The flavor was there and I really enjoyed my lunch today.
  21. Please put me down as coming with +2 kids. Probably won't get there until closer to 1:30 but definitely in.
  22. PB & J Bars. Peanut Butter with strawberry jam flavor between two cookie wafers covered in dark chocolate. These are AMAZING (and only 300 calories).
