  1. The Ledo's by Montgomery County Mall has a very sweet sauce. We got a pie last week during the school's fundraiser night, but i won't normally go there since I don't like their sauce.
  2. As soon as the Bethesda branch opens I will get a pie and give my opinion, but I am not holding my breath to be very good. I am admittedly a NY snob when it comes to Pizza and bagels.
  3. I like their food and I work across the street too, so when working late it is easy takeout. I also want to add the owners and staff are very nice. I have never had anything but very pleasant service there with a smile. These days that puts them way above many others.
  4. Is PF Changs really a chinese restaurant or just a lousy chain that serves cheap unflavored masses food?
  5. Took an hour to get out of the parking lot after the concert - Great concert (totally worth it).
  6. Hope you enjoyed the concert. We were tailgating last night - I think that is the best bet for Fedex Field
  7. Every american including the Peta folk wacko's have a right to their opinion (and you know what we think about opinions - lol).
  8. These chains are pretty interchangeable, I was about to say that I have had nice service in Bethesda and then realized that in Bethesda by my office is M&S not Legal. Legal Seafood - There is one in Montgomery Mall, that has better than average mall food. Not great but better than average.
  9. Thirty years ago this wouldn't have been a question - Thirty years from now could be Dress code - clothes or no clothes
  10. Maybe it depends where you are going, depends what night of the week it is. I would not dress the same going to Citronelle on a Saturday night as Hell Burger on a Tuesday night. It is just about being appropriate to your surroundings - Maybe you don't care about that, sometimes I don't care - I think we all know the difference and just a matter of how far you want to stretch. No different when I went on a cruise ship last month - Formal Night means Formal - did a couple of idiots come to dinner in jeans and get seated - yes. Did I really care that they were out of place while I was in a tuxedo - No.
  11. I definitely continue to enjoy Mia's. Tonight we had a plain Margharita with buffalo mozzarella and basil, we also had the special - Sprimp, asparagus and ramps. The ramps were a little overly powerful, so maybe some garlic and scallions would have been a better way to go. Their crust is top notch, regardless of the toppings having been there several times in the last month and never been disappointed - crispy but not burnt, exactly what pizza should be. As to desserts, I can say despite trying more than a few times, I have never had a dessert here that I truly enjoyed and was worth the calories. Tonight we got the strawberry shortcake, the strawberry's were flavorful and the creme nice but the cookie (or cake) that it was on was definitely missing something. Kind of crunchy and missing something as opposed to sweet and moist. Bottom line - Great Pizza, nice apps (didn't get any tonight but always put a smile on my face), but you probably want to go somewhere else for dessert.
  12. I usually only go there when combining with movies, but I have found their crust good
  13. New Season starts tonight - DR.com network had much better stars this afternoon
  14. This sounds a little complicatedGet a card During a particular week a month after getting the card go to four specific restaurants Get a sticker from these restaurants Bring the card with the stickers to a different restaurant Drop my card off for a contest drawing of a nite at hotel and spa treatment Good Food yes - But paperwork will have to pass. This is why 75percent of rebates never get turned in Don - Feel free to delete if you think too sarcastic - Don't mean to be, the restaurants are great they just need a new marketing person.
  15. I usually share the bisque and eat 1/2 of the steak (and the balance is great lunch for next day) then room for dessert too (See you can have your cake and eat it too)
  16. If you remember when RTC was opening - it was "a couple of weeks" for about 9 months. -
  17. I was out to dinner tonight with a large group (about 12 or so). Normally when I go out with this group a request is made beforehand for separate checks. This is normally accomadated without issue. Tonight there was a miscommunication and everything came out on one check. You would think professional adults can handle this. - The check came out to about $265 after tax before tip. I collected $298 and I asked around who didn't put in and everyone said they were in. I took another $20 out of my pocket as I was not comfortable not leaving 20% and the reservation was made under my name and cell phone number. Any suggestions for this situation? I asked the coordinator to put out an email about proper tipping but cheapos never see themselves.
  18. On Sunday got two dozen from Camerons - they were small but enjoyed the afternoon in the backyard snacking.
  19. A&J - old standby - Feels like old friend Commonwealth - Are they still doing? I know prices up portion down - but yumm Popeyes - if desperate (but I like the flavor at the Rockville Pike one only) RTC - Are they still doing in bar? - edited for - based on thread above that is a no (knew I hadn't had it in a long while) Others - Anyone else Please add in... Have it in my brain that I have to have Fried Chicken this weekend.
  20. Is the Rockville location next to the post office? There is a chinese takeout place in that shopping center that has really cheap chinese (not great but definitely edible) and been there for twenty years (can't remember the name) - Would feed me and two kids for around $10 - Did they go out?
  21. Seriously yes - We got in line at 2:30 and we were inside just after 3. We probably caught the end of lunch since it quieted down right after us. I wasn't going to wait, I offered Ray's the Classics for dinner not to wait in line but my daughter said "No we are waiting" (Thanks to the magic of blackberry, I can be entertained while waiting in line)
  22. I was there Sunday middle afternoon (about 3) and the line was to the right down to the end of the building. Given this I might have been shocked at what it was at 1pm lunch rush. The crew handled it very well, like the professionals that they are. The line didn't talk as long as I thought (maybe 1/2 hour or so to get inside), once inside it was smooth too. There was international media there (The BBC was doing a story), and even with all that - Great food was had by all. I think they ran out of the potato things, but a side of mac & cheese more than made up for it .
  23. Sounds like some major zoning law issues in the suburbs.
  24. I just saw that commercial - It said "Real Lobster" for 2.99 - lolReminds me of a tourist town in PA I was in last weekend - We passed a restaurant that had a sign -"KOBE BEEF TENDERLOIN" $ 9.99 Sure sounds like the real thing to me - lol
