I was also pleasantly surprised by how clear the fish eyes were. It immediately reminded me of the quality of fish from Blacksalt.

Sorry I didn't know. I actually searched for the topic heading before posting and seeing nothing, started this one.

Honestly, I liked how Angelika caters to adults compared to others places especially Tysons. We got our dinner with alcohol when upstairs to the lounge and sat down and had a nice time before the movie started. Since the seats are pre-selected we went before the movie began. There were no screaming kids or teenagers using cellphones throughout the movie. That's worth a couple of bucks.

Mediterrafish 2910 District Avenue Fairfax, VA 22031 703-992-7765 http://www.mediterrafish.com http://www.facebook.com/pages/MediterraFish/138691829598547 New fresh fish market opened up in the Mosaic District. We stopped by and checked it out. The owner said his fish comes 3 times a week from the Mediterranean. The branzino, orate and red snapper looked quite fresh. Can't wait to try it out this weekend for some grilling.

We finally ate some dinner at the Angelika before seeing a film last night. I had the chicken breast sandwich which was pretty damn good and my wife had the ham sandwich which she liked equally. We were impressed with the sandwiches and deviled egg appetizer. it's really enjoyable how the entire film center runs there.

Has anyone been watching the Taste? I checked out the first two episodes found it uneven in pacing especially with the 'back stories' of the contestants. However I liked how, the judges seemed to express regret about not having picked certain participants.

I think Lotus125's writings described our experience at Suna quite well. It was a very enjoyable night, everything was quite special, and it clearly has the potential to be one of the best restaurants in the city. The only additional comments would be in regards to seasonability of the dishes. Somehow the progression of dishes overall didn't fall well with the time of the year. Individually they worked quite well. I've probably used this before as an example of seasonability and taste, but I was reminded of a review of a place in Japan that I want to visit in the future. This review, http://chriseatskyoto.blogspot.com/2008/12/kichisen-kaiseki-dinner.html, does a good job of encapsulating http://www.kichisen-kyoto.com/en/.

Chutzpah ended up being pretty good. Also the cheesecake was equally appealing. Haven't tried Costco's yet, but will keep it in mind. Thanks again everyone!

It doesn't have to be NOVA, but as we battled thru the cold/flu a few weeks ago, the chain supermarkets were pretty lacking after a few servings. Chutzpah looks interesting! Thank you DC Deb for the tip.

Looking for the top contenders for chicken noodle soup in NOVA. Been missing Parkway Deli's chicken noodle soup this cold season and wanted to see if there's anything closer.

Congratulations and good luck!

How busy are they for a regular night these days? I left a voice message and sent an email two days ago with no response so far. Revision: They got back to me! Looking forward to it.

Somewhat Different Than The Kobe Beef Saga....
lion replied to Eric Ziebold's topic in News and Media
When I'm eating sushi, sometimes wonder if the Madai or Tai, (Japanese Sea Bream), is really Red Snapper or tilapia. It's easy to think if the nigiri piece has an overabundance of toppings. -
I like Ted's Bulletin in Capital Hill, but in the Reston Town Center would prefer something like Range. Why is it so hard for an inventive style of cooking to take place there?

If anyone comes across this playing in the metro area, please post here! Thanks! http://www.eyesteelf...unters/trailer/

Really enjoyed the grand opening on Saturday and of course the chocolates. It's a pretty space and it was super packed when we stopped by and picked up some goodies for Thanksgiving sweets. Cheers!

After experiencing the traffic at the Mosaic District last Saturday to see the new Artisan Confections store, my earlier concerns were definitely overstated. It was a madhouse over there with the amount of people and we almost got run over in a cross walk.
