It says they can't extend credit if they have knowledge of the violation. I don't think there'd be any constructive knowledge requirement, so I think this would require actual knowledge. The list is a way for distributors to share actual knowledge of violations with each other. I think it would be voluntary.

I've never been a coffee drinker (even through law school, somehow) but lately I've been dabbling a bit, and the wife enjoys hot tea daily, so we bought a Keurig K-Cup machine. I figure somebody here has to get their daily coffee from somewhere else than the latest free trade independently owned organic locally sourced coffee outpost, so any recommendations? Thank you in advance, both for any input you might have as to what's good, and for not making this a thread about how grinding and brewing my own coffee, or only drinking espresso out of a $900 machine, is the only way to go...

Not that anyone here needs to be told of this restaurant's greatness, but my wife and I celebrated our first anniversary at RtS Courthouse last night and it was fantastic. First, I had completely forgotten that I mentioned the anniversary when I made the reservation, and was surprised with two complimentary glasses of sparkling wine, a generous and completely unexpected touch that shows a dedication to repeat customers. Second, I consumed 14 ounces of dry aged sirloin for $26.99, a ridiculous deal that would easily cost twice as much at an expense account steakhouse a few miles east, not to mention $8.99 for each of the sides that are complimentary at Ray's. Third, as I go in a random order, I maintain that the crab bisque at Ray's is not the best soup I have ever eaten. No, it is the best dish I have ever eaten. If it would not cause likely cardiac arrest (as well as a lactose intolerance, I imagine) I would probably try to eat this and nothing else for a month. Or forever... Worth noting is that the Bistro Special (an even better deal than the already ridiculous steak prices) is available only in the Bistro (front side of the restaurant, no reservations). It is not just a witty name. I'd been eating the special since the old location and didn't realize this distinction, so when we asked about it our waitress (who was delightful) told us that it was only available in the front restaurant and then just gave us the special anyway. I tipped 45%, which I don't think did her justice. I am looking to move away from DC in the coming months, and I will miss Ray's dearly.

Excellent. I saw that place on a quick google search, but couldn't tell if it was any good. Though I think if I lived near a place that had a beer-drinker's club it would be bad news. Yep, we will have a car during our trip. We're driving from here, getting in on a Friday (and likely to be too tired to do much of anything, so looking for something near our hotel, which is next door to Philips Arena) and leaving early Tuesday morning, so we have lunches on Saturday, Sunday and Monday and then dinners on Saturday and Monday to worry about. Though the Final Four will be on during both dinners so we may have to head to Taco Mac or its ilk. I should also say that we are looking at Atlanta as a possible city to move to, so we are checking out lots of neighborhoods and areas (Buckhead, Virginia-Highlands, possibly Decatur, and any others that you might suggest!) so we are open to lunching out there. Thanks very much for your advice.

Heading to Atlanta for a certain low-brow event in early April. Will be staying near CNN Center, arriving on a Friday night and leaving Tuesday morning. Am in need of non-fancy, not-classy, incredibly Southern grub--fried chicken, bbq, anything of that ilk, as well as some good sports bars to watch the NCAA Final Four. Basically any hole in the wall that is so good it's required. Thanks in advance...

I called and tried to order carryout arm drips on Sunday, only to be told they don't do them. Limited menu on Sundays with no beef. They had muffalettas, though.

It is not a "nice place", but the majority of the floor is an outdoor deck and the food was great. Definitely have a drink at Woody's, but don't eat there. Same with the Beach Bar. We stayed at Caneel Bay which had decent bar food, but very expensive. Didn't try the fancy restaurants there. The Lime Inn (in Cruz Bay) was also fun.

Go to the Banana Deck in Cruz Bay, if it is open (it is somewhat of a roll of the dice, but no worries because you can walk from one side of Cruz Bay to the other in 10 minutes). Order the Shrimp Curry or Shrimp & Scallop Fettucini Alfredo, and a cold one (or three). Sit back, relax, try to catch an earful from Wayne the bartender at the Blue Iguana mexican place next door, and enjoy the fact that you are in the world's most perfect place.

Not near AdMo, but I could not in good conscience recommend anywhere other than Ray's.

I have eaten the DB Burger at the Vegas outpost. (Clearly not on my own dime...) The foie was kind of a waste, it overpowered everything else in the sandwich and would probably have been better on its own. That said, the short rib meat was unbelievably fantastic. Not worth $32, I agree, but good nonetheless. The gimmicky burgers aren't really burgers anyway. -
I really, really liked Williamsburg AleWerks Pumpkin Ale...relatively high alcohol content without tasting so. Festive, and it'll get ya drunk!

They did this for the rollout of the Spicy Chicken Sandwich. It was weird, but I guess they got people in the store, talking to the manager. I won 52 of those sandwiches in a contest at our local CFA. 52 epic wins.

I really hope they open one in Arlington. The dearth of non-pizza, non-asian delivery options is pretty severe, and there are a lot of yuppies (yours truly) who would be regular orderers.

I don't think this analogy holds. Suppose you have a res for 4 and show up with three. How is that any different than now showing on a four reservation and walking in with a party of 3 at 8PM to one of the hardest reservations in town? If the space is so inflexible that you can't stick a chair on the end, fine, I get it. I certainly would have called first. But i think the description of the experience is more about an antagonistic approach to service, rather than trying to adapt to an unforeseen obstacle and overcome it.

Latest hipster fad. Also I wonder if as many people would be able to take a 1.5-2 hour lunch break in a city that didn't employ so many government workers.

I think this is right--VA is a business-friendly commonwealth, and MD is a high-tax state. It's not random chance that the Dulles Corridor is where all the technology and defense headquarters have been built. -
Somewhat OT, but a pet peeve of mine--why would you voluntarily put up with people who make you feel bad? You can't often pick your waiter, but you can pick your friends.

Try the Lee Highway Taco Bell, in Yorktown/Westover...they aren't particularly good.
