  1. here is 1 from me. he is talking about the soft shell crab -------------------- George C. from Beltsville, MD 1 star Had the crab sandwich with cole slaw. Still hungry, despite the fact that I spent nineteen dollars. There was only a trace of crab meat. The sandwich was mostly shells, lettuce, tomatoes, and a huge bun. It was served with messy sauce that was so watery the sandwich had to be eaten with a fork and knife, rather than eating it like a sandwich. But that was rendered awkward because the sandwich was served on paper, which made it impossible to cut without getting pieces of paper inside my food. I was the only customer, during peak dinner hours. Scarcity of customers implies others already knew what I found out. I won't return, either. PS - They advertise free WiFi. But their WiFi is so unreliable that you won't be able to use it.

  3. I`ve tried the softshell lobsters last year. They are also referred as `firm shell`. Exact comparison of 10 pieces of soft shells versus 10 pieces of hard shells(all pound and a quarter in weight). Difference is huge for me. I got 12 orders from the soft shells and 18 orders from the hard shells.
  4. We are participating in this Restaurant Week of College Park. http://shopcollegepark.org/blog/cprw/
  5. We are still in College Park for few more years. Progression Place will be the second location. I actually like College Park very much now.
  6. I guess it all depends who the two chefs are: are they really good friends(outside the restaurant hours, too) or they are just friends because they are both chefs of their restaurants and following the courtesy rules? I, personally, would not take any money if I invite my good friends(chefs, gms, restaurant people..etc.) to an opening. However, if a good friend of mine invites me, I insist to pay, not only to support my friend but to make myself feel better. If the situation gets worse and turns into a real challenge of who will pay or deny the money, then a little discount on the check will most likely find the common grounds. However, I believe it would be wrong to not expect a check. Let`s face it, before any restaurant opening there is a ton of investment $$ and people are looking forward to recover their money, ASAP.
  7. A long time planned garden finally finished this evening. In organic soil, we are growing heirloom tomato, cucumber, ancho pepper, baby greens, chocolate mint and red onion, so far. Tomatoes should be ready in couple months. The garden is not big enough to supply the entire menu so we will run specials as the produce becomes ripe enough. On another note, I am not quite sure if they read this site but they should, I`d like to thank to College Park`s two great counsel men, Bob Catlin and Monroe Dennis, for not only supporting but literally doing everything they can, to pass the bill in MD which was signed by the Governor couple weeks ago, that will allow Fishnet to sell beer & wine, most likely late this year. now, how do I insert the garden picture here, Don?
  8. I am very curious: what is the purpose of these `special menus`? Why not still serve it when somebody asks for the `special menu`
