Try some of the Grotta del Sole Gragnano. I think it is the perfect pizza wine. I like mine chilled. It is available for around $10-12 retail and 2 Amy's has it on their menu for $23 a bottle.

Good luck with that budget! I suggest a Nebbiolo d'Alba(meant to be drunk young) or Langhe (I believe declassified grapes)

I think one experience is totally justifiable in determining if a wine list is overpriced or not.

I have taken clients there a couple of times for lunch and the atmosphere is perfectly fine for a client meeting -
2005 Domaine de la Mordorée, Lirac, "Reine des Bois". Deep dark purple and tight as hell with substantial tannins. Opened up nicely after two hours showing plenty of dark fruit with a peppery finish. Overall a nice wine, but I wouldn't open another one up for a couple of years.

Is the CdR Belleruche available anywhere else locally besides Schneider's and Super Fresh?

Well that is your opinion and you are entitled to it, but I stick by my claim. I am not a wine snob that needs a bunch of $$$ wines to be impressed, but when you have about six white offerings and three are chardonnay, I am not impressed. Give me a Godello or Txakoli to go along with your Chards and your one Albarino. FYI, most of their reds are South American focused rather than Spain, IIRC.
