  1. Borderstan reports that the two DC locations are closing on Tuesday. The article also mentions that the Falls Church location closed in October.
  2. The Requin pop-up is opening on Dec. 11 at the former Gypsy Soul location in the Mosaic District before it opens in its permanent location.
  3. I also wouldn't recommend the fried chicken from the Clarendon Whole Foods' takeout stand. My fried chicken has been dry.
  4. The new Sehkraft in Clarendon had a poutine on their limited food menu last week. Fries, gravy, melted cheese curds, and I think pulled pork.
  5. For posterity, some of their menus from their website. I heard they're going to bring back some of their past menu items in Dec, their final month. I didn't know that DC Coast had a large vodka and gin selection. dccoast-dinner.pdf dccoast-dessert menu.pdf dccoast-bar menu.pdf dccoast-specials menu.pdf dccoast-lunch menu.pdf dccoast-vodka gin beer cocktail.pdf --- Their December menu with their "classics" from their website dccoast-menu_326_2876181556.pdf
  6. It's open. Menus from their website: (I can't upload the wine and beer menus because they're too big). PE6_DC_MENU_DINNER_11.15_1_.pdf PE6_DC_MENU_DESSERT_11.20.pdf PE6_DC_MENU_COCKTAILS_5_-1.pdf
  7. Citizen Burger in Clarendon has jalapeno cheese fries. The fries are covered with melted shredded cheese and jalapeno slices. They also come with ranch sauce. I've had them once, and mostly what I remember is that the cheese solidified as it cooled. The cheese fries are $7 normally and $5 during happy hour at the bar (4-7 pm everyday including weekends.) (I like Shake Shack's crinkle cut fries and cheese sauce. If you get it to go, they pack the cheese on the side so it makes a good dipping sauce.)
  8. Hula Girl in Shirlington has them on their menu. hula-girl-dinner-menu.pdf
  9. Marble and Rye is opening tonight where Red Rocks was in Penrose Square, Columbia Pike, Arlington. From the ArlNow article linked above: "While still majority owned by the owners of RedRocks, it will be run under the leadership of [Chef Kate] Bennett and a new management team."
  10. Soft opened today at 4 pm with a limited food menu. Their own beer also isn't ready yet. They were serving other brands of beers. The butcher shop and market are also open. The market carries Lyon Bakery breads. edited to clarify - The market is very small and still had empty shelves when I stopped in this evening.
  11. About Jonah Kim partnering with Mike Isabella in the Washington Post article about Yona's opening:
