  1. It is sad, but I have been away from DC for several months now because of work and I have been craving some Hell Burger for what seems like eternity. Tonight my plane lands at Reagan at 830pm and I am heading directly to RHB even before I go home. I wonder what I should get for my first time?
  2. Went here the other night. Bad experience, probably wont go back. We showed up and were disappointed to hear that there was a 40 minute wait. We put our name down and headed to the bar and ordered some beer and eventually the mussels and frites. Beer was great, mussels were good and the frites were excellent. The space is amazing but 40 minutes turned into 50. And then into an hour, then an hour and a half. Granted, this entire time we kept checking in with the hostess who kept saying, "still waiting for some tables." Then finally as we were about to walk out, they said they could seat us. This was about two hours after we put our names down, I guess I liked the beer. How could they have been so wrong on their time estimate? Maybe they forgot about us? Either way the host was apologetic and offered to buy us a round of drinks once we were seated. As soon as she walked away they placed another order of mussels and frites on or table. "This isn't our order." "Oh they told us at the bar that ordered the mussels." "We did, about an hour ago." Our waiter finally takes our order. The food takes a little longer than normal to get to us, but maybe it is just because I am aggravated that I actually waited this long for dinner. I ordered the duck which was very good. Halfway through our meal our waiter comes up to us to tell us he has been sick all day and is going home early, someone else is taking over. (I hope he wasn't touching our food). In summary the service really killed the experience and we probably wont be back. Brassier Beck, I really wanted to like you.
  3. After a long day of hiking on Sunday we decided to swing by Bebo for some much needed protein and carbs. We called them around 830 to get a table at 930 but they told us they were closing at 9pm. WTF? With Monday being a Holiday there must have been other people, like us, who were dinning later on Sunday. Why didn't they adjust their closing time? Is this another example of a poorly managed restaurant? Don't feel too sorry for us, we went to Ray's instead.
  4. I was there this weekend and was also told that there was a 45 minute wait. I couldn't believe it because there were at least four empty tables outside. The hostess acted like she didn't want people to eat there and she was annoyed that we were there. I explained that there were several tables open to which she replied that she was seating people in those right now. Fair enough, so my girlfriend and I decided to sit at the bar. We had a great time at the bar, the bar staff was very friendly and prompt with their service. The annoying part of the meal was that for the entire time we sat at the bar overlooking the water we were looking at a table that remained unoccupied during our entire meal! In my opinion you should fire a hostess who makes guests feel unwanted and then hurts the rest of the restaurant staff by not seating people in open tables. Positives: The location is awesome. The flatfish sandwich was good. My gf had the mac and cheese and that was also nice. The rest of the staff was wonderful.
  5. Another requirement for a Chicago hot dog is a poppy seed bun, this is surprisingly difficult to come by in Washington.
  6. Of course you use the milk to make the pasta, use rum to boil it!
  7. Brought some friends from Texas to RTS on Saturday, they loved it. Service and food was your typical amazing. The hostess was very nice but she wouldn't take down my cell phone to call me when our table was ready. Michael use to be ok with doing this, oh well. They were also out of the steak Diablo.
  8. TIP: Use milk instead of water.
  9. I don't want to start a fight I just didn't think it was the same caliber as the other three on that list. i keeps it real
  10. Recent visit to Firefly poor service Overcooked Tuna poor service and the wine wasn't very good either But it is expensive so I guess it has that going for it. IMO It shouldn't be on the same list as Komi.
  11. This is the e-mail response I got from Harris Teeter Thank you for your email. This location is scheduled to open in the Summer of 2007, however, we do not yet have an exact date. Thanks for thinking of Harris Teeter. Sincerely, Harris Teeter Customer Relations
