  1. Please see August 2007 Esquire, for pictures of Giada swimming in tomatoes (I am not kidding). How low will these people go?
  2. I think he needs to explain this one. I have liked the pizza here since day one, and was not sure why it was never reviewed. Some have said it was due to the limited menu. I thought that was hogwash, as the chipper in Old Town has limited offerings as well, but it was reviewed within months of opening.
  3. I like Comet, a lot, but that's B.S. If he thought it was inconsistent, as most places he has reviewed in the last few weeks, then his review should have been based on that.
  4. Why did Tom wait nine months to review? http://www.washingtonpost.com/ac2/wp-dyn?n...&id=1131542
  5. Kyoto My wife is currently in Koyto for a few weeks, I will joining her for a few days this week. From what she has been reporting Koyto Station is a food lovers dream, so I can't wait to get there. There is also a Isetan store, so I will have to check that out. Also somehting non- food related. If you are going overseas, and need to keep in contact with your family, you must download Skype.
  6. The braised rabbit I had last night was a winner! I sat at the bar last night, and that was the best service I have ever had at Central, granted it was early.
  7. Well, in my four visits it has been better than the last Bistro he awarded 3 stars. What makes Central a 3 star place and not Beck's?
  8. Yes, I have tried these. Very good grits, but they take forever to cook. They can take anywhere from 1-2 hours to get them just right.
  9. What was the price on Amazon? I saw it in the book store a few days ago for $45, and I thought that was too much for a baking cookbook.
  10. Will there be pic's of the completed dishes?
  11. Maybe something like what BBC did last year with Jamie Oliver. He took over on school in London, where the kids were eating processed foods, and starting using fresh foods. All within budget, no less.
  12. None of the above is very entertaining and is too political for the network, but I understand where you are coming from.
  13. Everything. The whole look of the show. Go back and look at the first two seasons.
  14. If you noticed, Food Network change the concept this time. It looks like they stole most of it from Top Chef, pretty sad! Also, most the the people can't cook!
  15. That would be it! There was also sediment in our bottle, which is also something I have never seen in a rose. I still enjoyed the bottle.
  16. I had an excellent Rose at Corduroy last week, I don't recall the name. However, it was the darkest Rose I had ever seen. It was color of a Pinot Noir (or darker), very interesting wine!
  17. Please I am sure there are many people in DC area that bought more house than they can afford, but that does not stop them from eating out. Actually, northern VA as a whole has a higher per capita income that southern Maryland. This is why we have better shopping, and a least one 4 star restaurant.
  18. Have you seen some of the homes in Asburn? The same could have been said about Wegmans opening in Leesburg, with sushi and wine on hand. I am just shocked that there are so many people with such a narrow view of the world and of the DC area on this board.
  19. All the above are from Joe H. How does he know this? All seem to suggest that Ashburn is some kind of hick town, when in fact, its a fairly educated and affluent area.
  20. I think we all know what happens with we make assumptions.
