  1. Their emails offer some deals and I picked up some 08 St Innocent for a good price. I have yet to pick up my order but plan a trip soon.
  2. their NZ SB is a good buy for $8 in the style of Kim Crawford
  3. The Old Columbia Station in Adams Morgan. Saw lots of great music there including Danny Gatton who was always at his best . You could sit in the back and do whatever you liked while the music played and outside was a guy selling balloons late at night (that wasn't all he was selling). The Roundtable on Wisconsin had great drinks and a nice outside seating area. You got a bottle of mixer with your beverage-nice touch.
  4. Cocktails (and maybe a small plate) at Ripple next Wednesday before Dino. Roger Marmet is a nice guy and I'm glad his establishment appears to be settling in.
  5. We recently rejoined and, to me, prices overall aren't as competitive as they were a few years ago. You can purchase large quantities but the price isn't better than purchasing say 2 of a smaller size from another retailer; however the convenience factor with the larger size does add value I guess. There are more organic products which is a plus.
  6. They're featuring some excellent NO acts i.e. Anders Osbourne, Leo Nocentelli and the Radiators in August and early September and tiks are very reasonably priced. These folks normally play larger stages.
  7. Unfortunately, the last time we got the bianco it was not thin crust so can't recommend it.
  8. A mag of 98 Paul Autard CNDP was a perfect complement to Dean's splendid all duck dinner. There will be a lamb dinner in the fall-what will the cellar regurgitate for that feast?
  9. I ordered a case of various reds a few months ago-howell mtn, mt veeder, diamond mtn. Good QPR but didn't blow me away either.
  10. I've made numerous purchases with WTSO but usually don't buy anything with which I'm not familiar-no problems at all and they will credit if you get a corked bottle. Cinderella is part of Wine Library, an excellent retailer based in NJ.
  11. Excellent lunch at Sergio's with the corbina and a homemade shrimp ravioli. Usual friendly, efficient service. I told Sergio I would be back soon and I will. Reasonably priced as well.
  12. need a place for lunch this Friday. Open to any cuisine and price range.
  13. Tomatin 12 at Calvert-Woodley for $24/750ml is my current value scotch
  14. actually, RM means all or some of the grapes are grown by the producer. Purchased fruit can be used but a certain percentage? has to be home grown to be labeled a RM. If you likechampagne, try some. Terry Theise brings in a number of good ones and will be at MacArthurs tomorrow afternoon pouring a few. Also Germans but they ain't my thing.
  15. Last Corison I remember drinking was the 94-nice but not a top tier wine from that great CA vintage.
