Heather
I'll be escorting my 6-year-old daughter to the school dance, so no booze for me. It's been a long time since I was thrown out a school dance for drinking.
Halloween
I got off work early today, and I am already in Dupont Circle, so I vote for firefly. I am flexible, though, so I will try to check back in about an hour to see what the final decision is. Either way, I will probably catch a drink at FF, since i'm in the neighborhood. JPW
I'll be escorting my 6-year-old daughter to the school dance, so no booze for me. It's been a long time since I was thrown out a school dance for drinking. I always thought that was the only reason that adults let themselves be talked into that. I always imagined a big pitcher of something spiked in the Coach's Office while the kiddies were dancing in the gym.

Jacques Gastreaux
It looks like all of my kids are going to the highs shool football game this evening. I think I'll stop by Firefly for a glass of wine on my way home and hope I can dodge the zero tolerance policy.
squidsdc
Hoping to stop by Palena tonite...we're on a tight budget now that our kitchen renovation has begun but I insisted that we need to get out to someplace that won't break the bank to have some sort of recognition for our 19yr anniversary today. We would've gone to the grill for lunch if it had been open today... (Now that's a cheap date!)
bookluvingbabe
I'm also hoping to hit Palena tonight-- I have a meeting at 7:30 and will need something to get me through it... DC in DC
I'll be at Tosca tonight, solo, before the U2 show (!) Haven't decided yet whether to go with the pre-theatre menu or the half-portions of pasta (since it's the pastas that are calling to me now). Probably will sit at the bar. Heather
I'm still making up my mind about where to eat before the U2 show. I'll be with my brother who has a baby on the way and a tight budget. Might be Matchbox, then a couple of Belgian beers at RFD.

We're changing venues - see you at Dino! There will be three of us (unless you want to join, Meaghan, in which case we're four). I'm easy to spot in my yellow shirt. Say hi. Off topic, I know, but wasn't the U2 show awesome last night! We were as far away from the stage as one could possibly be--the VERY LAST ROW in the arena (as my husband joked, "I always wondered who got these seats"), but the sound was still great. Its in the light red to sorta pink category, a little more substantial but still yummy. We will await the new Sangiovese Rosato from the Horse as well.
