Online Ordering - 2015 Is The Year It's Going To Really Take Off
dcs replied to DonRocks's topic in News and Media
I believe they charge the restaurants a healthy percentage “commission” per order (20% - 30%?). If you really want to help a restaurant by getting takeout order directly from the restaurant. Many now have online ordering where you an pay and tip online. All you need to do is pick up the bag at the restaurant. About as contact-less as it gets. -
Clarity has been offering 3 course take away dinners for $35. Quite a bargain for what you get. Check the website daily for what is on offer. They tell us that all staff has been kept employed. Why not order a meal to help keep it that way? Don't forget to tip!

Sitting at the bar across the street and this place does not look open. We can see the stools upside down on the front counter. Seems odd for mid-afternoon on a holiday. Just checked their Twitter feed. They closed for good on January 15. -

County Board Approves Request To Eliminate Off-Site Parking At New Children’s School on Lee Highway, by Kalina Newman, on ARLnow.com. It is too bad this location could not have been preserved as a restaurant. I suspect that the costs of bringing the facility up to code as a public establishment was probably just too great. That place was a warren of steps and turns. -

Java Shack, Independent Coffee House on Franklin Street in Courthouse
dcs replied to dcs's topic in Coffee Shops and Roasters
I haven't been. Never saw the need. It is a coffee shop that doesn't open until 9am, which pretty much made me skeptical of the operation. Just wondering if you had any intel that I might be mistaken.- 30 replies
