    Churchkey's Luther is first thing that comes to mind for me. Of course to enjoy a mellow atmosphere at CK you have to get there early on Sundays. And promptness is not something you would associate with the title of this thread.

    Surprising to hear. Usually their crust is firm almost to the point of tough. Hurts my jaw when I binge on 3 or 4 slices.

    Maybe the best comparison for Silverman would be his mentor, Sean Brock, who's second restaurant (Husk) is just down the street from his first. And now there's a Husk in Nashville too.

    Another independent house in lower Montgomery County serving Vigilante. Silver Spring has seen a very nice uptick in local coffee shops in the past year -- Bump "Ëœn Grind 1200 E-W Hwy Silver Spring, MD 20910 http://bumpngrind.co Need to check it out, shame parking is atrocious on that part of East-West.

    Across the street from my parents place. Great news! Really enjoy the original on 14th. Should be the best restaurant on the Bethesda Ave side of town, if they can keep the quality controlled.

    What's more damning than the increase in soccer bars is the fact that almost everyone can now watch almost all matches at home, via cable/sat/online, in their underpants.
